Among Colorful OC’s main program attractions will be coverage of ongoing events in the various cultural and diverse organizations happening in and around Orange County, including the Tet Festival, the Black History Parade, Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month and Hispanic Heritage Month to name a few.

We are especially interested in events involving nonprofits, cultural and educational organizations.

Colorful OC Director as Panelists– October 22, 2009 - William Byers, producer and director of ColorfulOC, participating as panelists at the Asian American Business Women Association 1st Leadership Conference. The ethnic media panel session was from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Garden Grove, CA.


Colorful OC currently in development – October 15, 2009
“Colorful OC,” a new half-hour cultural and lifestyle program planning to air on KOCE-TV as a bi-weekly show, is currently in development. Colorful OC will feature unique perspectives from unsung heroes who help build bridges between Orange County’s diverse communities; and explore topics on culture and issues facing minority business and social groups. Colorful OC plans to begin production of its 16-episodes season starting January 2009. Broadcast dates to be announced.

Colorful OC officially announced – August 26, 2009
Colorful OC” TV program was officially announced at the Orange County Black Chamber of Commerce 25th Annual Banquet held last August 26, 2009 at the Grand California Hotel in Anaheim. Kurt Mische, then Vice President of Advancement for KOCE-TV, told the nearly 800 attendees, "Speaking to, and telling the stories of the people of many different backgrounds, nationalities and ethnicity's in our area is a big part of what KOCE-TV and public television do each day. It is vital and central to our mission. Having a regularly scheduled, quality program like this one promises to be a big plus for us, a colorful addition to our schedule, an addition that will further allow us to educate, entertain and enlighten.

Walson Communcations becomes Agency of Record for Colorful OC – August 10, 2009
Walson Communications, a multicultural public relations and event marketing agency focused on providing highly personalized and individualized service for clients in the nonprofit, financial services, education, legal and health sectors, has become the Agency of Record for the first season of Colorful OC. Corin Ramos, APR, president of Walson Communications, has over 15 years experience in successfully creating and implementing campaigns that result in extensive media exposure and consumer awareness. As a former journalist, she works closely with general and ethnic media, and is active with numerous multicultural business and community organizations, including the Diversity Committee of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Orange County chapter.

Explorer Studios tapped to produce 16 episodes of Colorful OC – August 1, 2009
In a new partnership, Orange County Black Chamber Education Foundation, and Explorer Studios, Inc. have agreed to produce a minimum of 16 episodes (bi-weekly airing) of the ground-breaking new TV series, Colorful OC for broadcast on PBS. Explorer Studios is focused on providing innovative solutions for their clients. For over 25 years, the award-winning production company has been providing video production, interactive programming, custom sound design, voice over, and DVD authoring for its clients worldwide.

"Colorful OC host Bobby McDonald and a State of California Cultural and Historical Endowment Board Member introduced "California Golds" Huell Howser at the California Cultural and Histroical Endowement event in Sacramento, CA. on September 30th, 2009.

Bobby was the Master of Ceremonies. This event celebrated the many success of the grantees of the CCHE. It also offers an opportunity for all members of California's cultural and historic preservation community to share their experiences of preserving our state's rich and diverse past while improving its communities....
